The foundation of any dance ministry must first be rooted in a true personal relationship with God. Spending time with God in daily prayer enables us to draw our inspiration for choreography from the Holy Spirit. We must give honor and glory to God through our dance.

We are Chosen 2B First,  a prophetic arts outreach of the helps ministry.
 
 
Our group chosen name is unique as each individual member of this auspicious ministry is.  Our name surrounds the scripture from... The First Shall Be Last..." We are Prophetic worshippers.   Prophetic worship is not a new thing. The Psalms are full of great examples of prophetic worship. They reveal the future and they are also revealed Jesus. In our movements revelation, is revealed, deliverance is given through our worship.
 
Worship is about being real with God. You notice how many of the Psalms are not just thanksgiving and joyful things but also times of saying 'Lord, Where are You?', just crying out from a hunger and a thirst and a dependence in God.

Intimacy in worship is about getting personal with God, drawing close to God. Obviously we revere Him as King and we fear Him as Lord... we bow down before our Creator. But the Lord has said we can draw close to Him. In the New Testament one of the most commonly used words . The Father, its about Me sharing the things of God with you.
 
There are some things that you'll tell everyone and there are some things that you'll only tell your friends.  With God it's like that. In a sense there are different levels of revelation. To the whole of mankind He's revealed creation. In Romans 1 it says that man is without excuse because all that has been revealed to them. There's maybe a second level of revelation with the cross, because in Corinthians it tells us that to some people the cross is just a load of foolishness, but to us who have been saved it is the power of God.
 
As we becomes friends of God He reveals more and more in those times of closeness and intimacy.  If you're close to someone you need to whisper, you don't need to shout. But on the other hand there's still a time for shouting; an intimate song isn't always a slow or quiet song. We're pursuing a breadth in our worship; because of the nature and character of God. So wide, broad, and with so many different aspects and facets to Him, we need to respond in lots of different ways. 
 

Re-inspired by God in 2009, Monique R. Marshall- Johnson and Sherian K. Anderson founded this new ministry with the ultimate goal of forming a ministry that would truly exalt the name of the Lord Thy God through the use of their temple/body in which dwells the Holy Spirit.

  

Our mission is to bring the body of Christ into the presence of the Lord for Prophetic Worship, Exaltation, and Adoration. We believe that dance is a sermon without words, that can only be expressed though the temple by God.  The prophetic dance is warfare that demonstrates the word of the Lord through dance and brings about deliverance, healing, restoration, and joy.

 

We are called to be a prophetic dance ministry because God creates them through us by visions, dreams, and most importantly by the Spirit of God. In our movements, God uses us to pluck up and break down, destroy and overthrow, build, and plant in the deepest parts of the heart joy, peace, and deliverance. Prophetic dance is warfare and as a result of it the lives of God's people are affected in some capacity. We are honored that He has chosen us.

 

We are family, yet unique in that each chosen has a different type of dance training and experience. Some of us have moderate to mild training and others, none at all. Just because you can dance doesn't mean you are called to dance for God.  Each of our dancers are chosen by the Spirit of God for His glory and His purpose. One size doesn't fit all!  We are custom made and we are not for every one nor is everyone for us. We believe that God knows each of us.  He also knows all that is in us.  Although talent is wonderful, anointing has nothing to do with talent.  Anointing comes from God and God alone.  So although we may not be as talented as most, we are most definitely ANOINTED for what we have been chosen to do.

 

This ministry consists of  female dancers thus far from all ages, backgrounds and nationalities.  We are not interested in size or ability as we are the anointing of God on their life and that God has chosen them to dance.  This is because we are not entertainers, we are ministers.  We dance with the purpose of entering into spiritual warfare and what some may lack in training the anointing fills the gap.

 

Our directors are Prophetess lead by the Holy Spirit in all that they do. They never choose, God does and just like the scripture says-"Many are called but few are chosen." Everyone will not become preachers because they are good speakers although we are all ministers of the gospel. Well, the same holds true for dance. It?s more than a passion, it?s our birth right!

 

We are radical dancers, breaking the standard religious mode of liturgical dance or dance as church entertainment.  Our dance is dramatic and prophetic.  Our movement mirror at time forms related to jazz, tap, ballet, modern, mime, and hip-hop, but other times we just move any which way God chooses.  Who knows what God will create in us to do? We are excited and on fire for God.
